For many years Bill Holohan has been contributing to the work of the Law Society Law School which is responsible for the training and education of Solicitors in Ireland. He has contributed to the courses on a number of different aspects of law, but in particular is a Consultant to the Law School on the subject of insolvency.

In 2003, Bill Holohan along with a number of the other consultants, co-wrote a book on Insolvency Law, his section dealing with the subject of Receiverships in particular.

In recent years he has also acted as the internal examiner for the Law School on the subject of insolvency, setting the examination papers and evaluating the responses. Also, he has acted as Examiner for the Law Society in relation to setting exam papers for the Diploma in Commercial Law, which is part of the Law Society's Continuing Legal Education Programme. In some part, the Solicitors who have been indebted to practise in recent years in Ireland, owe their right to practise to Bill Holohan.
